Samedi 12 juin 2021. Ylvingen-Herøy.
Gris et frais le matin mais le temps s’éclaircit après. Nous ne sortons pas
les vélos et allons à pied. Nous étions venus à Ylvingen en 2002, en route vers
Lofoten. Nous avions essayé de nous mettre à un haut quai et un homme en vélo était
venu nous proposer un corps-mort. Nous avons donc une photo de 2002 de Maja amarrée
à un corps-mort ici. Ylvingen a perdu des habitants depuis ce temps, seulement
25 personnes y vivent maintenant. Nous avions fait quelques courses en 2002 à
la boutique qui a disparu depuis. Nous partons à 11 h 20, sous un rayon de
soleil. Nous passons Vega, une grande ile, puis Jens veut (encore) passer à un
endroit « difficile », avec pleins de gribouillis sur la carte. Mais
ce n’est pas si difficile et tout va bien. Nous apercevons les « Syv
Søster » (les Sept Sœurs), une rangée de sept montagnes enneigées, mais
leurs sommets sont cachés dans les nuages. Nous sommes à l’ile de Herøy à 15 h
20, courte journée aujourd’hui Nous nous amarrons dans la petite marina sous un
rayon de soleil, et je remarque tout de suite le nom du bateau voisin :
Majo. Majo et Maja, cela sonne bien. Mais le temps que Jens sorte les vélos, il
se met à pleuvoir des cordes. Heureusement, cela ne dure pas et nous nous
dépêchons de partir : sur Herøy, le guide conseille d’aller voir la
boutique de fleurs ! Assez inattendu ici, sur une petite ile ! Nous pédalons
durs, c’est à 4 km de la marina et la boutique ferme à 5 h. Et c’est vrai que c’est
un fleuriste exceptionnel : des centaines de plantes, certaines tout à
fait exotiques et la plupart dehors. Comment est-ce possible ? Nous
rentrons et là il se remet à pleuvoir, il faut mettre tout l’équipement de
pluie. Nous rentrons à Maja, content de se retrouver au sec et au chaud, Jens
avait allumé le chauffage avant de partir.

Saturday June 12, 2021. Ylvingen-Herøy
Gray and cool in the morning but the weather clears up
afterwards. We do not take the bikes out and go on foot. We came to Ylvingen in
2002, on our way to Lofoten. We had tried to get to a high wharf and a man on a
bicycle had come to offer us a mooring. So we have a 2002 photo of Maja moored
to a mooring here. Ylvingen has lost inhabitants since that time, only 25
people now live there. We had done some shopping in 2002 at the store which has
since disappeared. We leave at 11:20 am, under a ray of sunshine. We pass Vega,
a big island, then Jens wants (again) to go to a "difficult" place,
with lots of scribbles on the map. But it's not that difficult and everything
is fine. We see the “Syv Søster” (the Seven Sisters), a row of seven
snow-capped mountains, but their peaks are hidden in the clouds. We are at
Herøy Island at 3:20 pm, a short day today. We moor in the small marina under a
ray of sunshine, and I immediately notice the name of the neighboring boat:
Majo. Majo and Maja, that sounds good together. But by the time Jens takes out
the bikes, it starts to rain heavily. Fortunately, this does not last and we
hurry to leave: on Herøy, the guide advises to go see the flower shop! Quite
unexpected here, on a small island! We are pedaling hard, it is 4 km from the
marina and the shop closes at 5 pm. And it is true that he is an exceptional
florist: hundreds of plants, some quite exotic and most of them outdoors. How
is it possible? We go home and it starts raining again, we have to put on all
the rain gear. We return to Maja, happy to dry and warm us, Jens had turned on
the heating before leaving.
