Dimanche 30 mai 2021. Æsøy-Honningsvåg (Stattlandet !)
Bien dormi, petit-déjeuner dehors en kjeledress puis Jens propose de
tourner l’annexe, nous l’avons chargé de telle façon qu’elle ne peut pas être
fixée sur Maja, les points d’attache ne correspondent pas. Et en même temps,
nous allons ramer un peu, faire une photo de Maja ancrée et aussi une photo des
primevères. Nous allons aussi repérer les rochers pour bien les éviter quand on
sortira. Juste avant de partir, nous voyons un aigle maritime (aigle de mer ?)
« havørn » en norvégien, et nous pensons tous les deux que c’est le
même que nous avions vu l’année dernière. Nous partons à 9 h 40, Jens lève
l’ancre et reste à l’avant pour voir le fond. Je conduis, un œil sur
l’échosondeur. Et là, la profondeur remonte à 1.2 m puis à 1m !
Heureusement c’est du sable et nous passons en frottant un peu le fond de Maja
sur le sable. Nous traversons Rekstadfjord, puis par des fjords nous passons à
l’ouest de Florø. Le temps est ensoleillé et calme. Nous entrons dans
Frøysjøen, un large fjord entouré de hautes montagnes, certaines encore
enneigées. C’est beau. Et dès qu’il y a un endroit un peu plat, des gens se
sont installés là autrefois et vivaient du poisson et d’une petite ferme. Dans
les fjords, le vent est instable, passant de 0 m/s à 9 m/s avec des claques. Nous
traversons Måløy en passant sous le grand pont et sortons du fjord peu après.
Nous nous rapprochons de Statt. Je suis un peu inquiète, Statt est si renommé
pour ses grandes vagues. C’est si dangereux que le gouvernement norvégien vient
de décider de faire un tunnel pour les bateaux. Nous laissons l’ile de Silda à
droite et remontons nord-ouest le long de la péninsule. Tout va bien, petites
vagues de face. Au bout, accrochées à la falaise, deux petites maisons ont
surement une vue magnifique. Nous tournons un peu nord-est et avons toujours
les vagues, un peu plus grandes, à peu près 80 cm, de face. Mais le vent
augmente et parfois l’anémomètre montre 12 m/s. Je sais qu’il faut retirer
notre vitesse, mais c’est quand même beaucoup. Je ne veux pas avoir force 5 à
Statt. Jens dit que j’ai une imagination fertile et c’est vrai. J’imagine que
les vagues vont augmenter et que la petite Maja va être ballotée comme un
bouchon. J’ai peur. Jens me dit de regarder les vagues, elles n’augmentent pas
et que ce 12 m/s, c’est seulement dans les claques. C’est vrai. Et après 15-20
minutes de panique, je me calme. En fait, nous avons une traversée calme pour
être à Statt, des vagues de 80 cm ici, ce n’est rien. Laila et Thorsten, notre
fille et notre gendre, sont passés ici il y a quelques semaines et ont eu des
vagues de 2 m sur le côté, sans vent pour stabiliser. C’était bien pire. Nous
croisons deux navires et un navire appelé « Bluefin » nous double. Un
bleu ! Nous continuons jusqu’à l’entrée de Honningsvåg, grande baie au
milieu de montagnes. L’entrée est bien marquée et nous trouvons bien la petite
marina derrière une jetée. Il n’y a qu’un voilier à un autre quai et nous avons
le long ponton pour nous tout seuls. Bien contents d’être arrivés ! Il est 19 h 40. Après l’ankerdram, petite
promenade avant diner, je suis surprise de voir tant de maisons bien
entretenues, c’est vert, fleuri (de fleurs sauvages, je ne sais plus où donner
de l’appareil photo) et aussi de voir de si petits bateaux de pêches ici. Diner
tardif, dehors en kjeledress … of course. Nous restons ici demain.

We slept well, breakfast outside in kjeledress then
Jens offers to turn the dinghy, we loaded it in such a way that it cannot be
fixed on Maja, the attachment points do not match. And at the same time, we're
going to row a bit, take a photo of anchored Maja and also a photo of the
primroses. We will also spot the rocks to avoid them when we get out. Just
before we leave, we see a sea eagle "havørn" in Norwegian, and we
both think it's the same one we saw last year. We leave at 9:40 am, Jens weighs
the anchor and stays in front to see the bottom. I drive, one eye on the
echosounder. And there, the depth goes to 1.2 m then to 1m! Fortunately it is
sand and we pass by rubbing the bottom of Maja a little on the sand. We cross
Rekstadfjord, then through fjords we pass west of Florø. The weather is sunny
and calm. We enter Frøysjøen, a large fjord surrounded by high mountains, some
still snow-capped. It's beautiful. And as soon as there is a little flat place,
people settled there once and lived off fish and a little farm. In the fjords,
the wind is unstable, going from 0 m/s to 9 m/s with gusts. We cross Måløy
passing under the big bridge and exit the fjord shortly after. We are getting
closer to Statt. I'm a little worried, Statt is so famous for his big waves. It
is so dangerous that the Norwegian government has just decided to make a tunnel
for boats. We leave Silda Island on the right and go north-west along the
peninsula. All is well, small waves in the front. At the corner, clinging to the
cliff, two small houses surely have a magnificent view. We turn a little
northeast and still have the waves, a little bigger, about 80 cm, from the
front. But the wind is increasing and sometimes the anemometer shows 12 m/s. I
know we have to take our speed from this, but it's still a lot. I don't want to
have Force 5 at Statt. Jens says I have a fertile imagination and it's true. I
imagine the waves will rise and little Maja will be tossed around like a cork.
I'm scared.. Jens tells me to look at the waves, they are not increasing and that
this 12 m/s is only in the gusts. That is true. And after 15-20 minutes of
panic, I calm down. Actually, we have a calm ride being at Statt, 80cm waves
here, it's nothing. Laila and Thorsten our daughter and son-in-law passed here
a few weeks ago and had 2m waves on the side with no wind to stabilize. It was
much worse. We pass two ships and a ship called "Bluefin" overtakes
us. A blue ! We continue to the entrance to Honningsvåg, a large bay in the
middle of mountains. The entrance is well marked and we find the small marina
behind a jetty. There is only one yacht at another dock and we have the long
pontoon to ourselves. Glad to have arrived! It is 7:40 pm. After the ankerdram,
a little walk before dinner, I am surprised to see so many well-kept houses,
it's green, flowery (with wild flowers, I don't know where to look with the
camera) and also to see such small fishing boats here. Late dinner, outside in kjeledress…
of course. We are staying here tomorrow.
