Jeudi 1 er juillet 2021. Oslo
Je prends un taxi à 5 h 45 et l’avion à 6 h 45. Le taxi traverse l’ile d’est
en ouest en 10 mn. Il fait très beau et le soleil est déjà haut dans le ciel.
Tous les passagers sont masqués, une place sur deux reste libre et il n’y a
aucun service à bord. Nous survolons des montagnes enneigées et c’est beau. J’arrive
à Oslo vers 8 h 30 et prends le train entre l’aéroport et le centre d’Oslo.
Puis, ayant un plan pour aller de la station de train « Nasjonaltheatret »
à l’ambassade de France, je marche. Mais j’ai rendez-vous à 11 h 40 donc j’ai
du temps. Je prends un café sur une terrasse, il fait beau et chaud à Oslo. C’est
drôle de se retrouver dans une grande ville, avec le mouvement, le bruit et
comme il fait beau, les gens marchent, font du vélo et de ces patinettes qui
envahissent les villes. Je m’approche de l’ambassade et fais un tour du pâté de
maisons, c’est, bien sûr, un beau quartier mais je trouve quand même plusieurs
fleurs sauvages sur le bord du trottoir. A 11 h 35, je sonne au portail, je ne
veux pas être en retard « tout retard entraine l’annulation du rendez-vous ! »
Une voix me dit (en anglais !) d’attendre. Je suis donc entre les deux
grillages, dans une sorte de sas, debout en plein soleil et attend au moins un
quart d’heure. Enfin, on me dit d’entrer et après, cela se passe bien, le jeune
homme est correct. Pourquoi ne pas me faire attendre à l’intérieur et me faire
assoir ? Bon, quand c’est fini, je repars à pied et, vers 13 h m’arrête déjeuner
à un café installé dans une sorte de camionnette mais qui a une grande terrasse
juste à côté de la bibliothèque nationale. J’observe un carrefour passager et
cela fait bien passer le temps. Je me
mets à faire le blog, mais internet est irrégulier, le gars du café me
conseille donc d’aller à la bibliothèque nationale et en plus je pourrai aller
aux toilettes. Sitôt dit, sitôt fait et je suis installée comme une reine, dans
une salle boisée, au plafond très haut et calme comme dans une église. J’ai internet
gratuit pendant 12 h. Et je repars, retrouve ma station de train et arrive à l’aéroport
bien en avance. Mon avion part à 20 h 15. Retour sans histoire et arrivée, sous
le soleil, à 22 h à Tromsø. Jens a lui aussi eu une bonne journée, il a réparé
non pas un mais deux tambours enregistreurs au musée, a déjeuné avec Odile et
ensuite a fait presque tout le tour de l’ile pour aller acheter une pièce pour
son vélo à Biltema, un magasin qui a beaucoup de choses pour les bateaux, les
voitures, les vélos etc. Il dit que les nouveaux quartiers à l’ouest de l’ile
sont agréables, espacés et boisés. Il a fait beau ici aussi et même chaud, près
de 20˚.
Thursday July 1, 2021. Oslo
I take a taxi at 5:45 am and the plane at 6:45 am. The
taxi crosses the island from east to west in 10 minutes. The weather is very
nice and the sun is already high in the sky. All passengers are masked, every
other seat remains free and there is no service on board. We are flying over
snow capped mountains and it’s beautiful. I arrive in Oslo around 8:30 am and
take the train between the airport and central Oslo. Then, having a plan to get
from the "Nasjonaltheatret" train station to the French Embassy, I
walk. But my an appointment is at 11:40 am, so I have time. I have a coffee on
a terrace, the weather is nice and warm in Oslo. It's funny to be in a big
city, with the movement, the noise and, with the good weather, people are
walking, cycling and using those scooters that take over the cities. I approach
the embassy and walk around the block, it is of course a beautiful neighborhood
but I still find several wildflowers on the sidewalk. At 11:35 am, I ring the
doorbell, I don't want to be late “any delay will cancel the appointment!” A
voice tells me (in English!) to wait. So I am between the two fences, in a sort
of no mans land, standing in full sun and waiting at least a quarter of an
hour. Finally, I am told to come in, and afterwards it goes well, the young man
is okay. Why not make me wait inside and sit down? Well, when it's over, I walk
back and at around 1:00 p.m. stop for lunch at a cafe set up in a sort of van
but which has a large terrace right next to the national library. I observe a
busy crossroads and it passes the time well. I start blogging, but the internet
is spotty, so the cafe guy advises me to go to the national library and on top
of that I can go to the bathroom. No sooner said than done, and I am installed
like a queen, in a wooded room, with a very high ceiling and calm like in a
church. I have free internet for 12 hours. When I’m finished, I leave, find my
train station and arrive at the airport well in advance. My plane leaves at
8:15 p.m. Return without problem and arrive, under the sun, at Tromsø at 10 pm. Jens also had a good day, he
repaired not one but two recording drums at the museum, had lunch with Odile
and then rode almost all around the island to buy a part for his bike in
Biltema, a store which has a lot of things for boats, cars, bicycles etc. He
says the new neighborhoods on the west side of the island are nice, spaced out
and wooded. The weather was nice here too and even hot, nearly 20˚.
