Il y a eu du brouillard cette nuit, donc nous avions allumé la lanterne du
haut du mat comme d’habitude et en plus nous avions laissé la lumière dans le
poste de pilotage. Nous partons à 9 h 15 avec un peu de vent ¾ arrière, moteur
et foc. Quand nous ancrons, la matelote que je suis n'a rien à faire quand on part: pas de corde ni de pare-battages à ranger. Nous passons près d’un immense élevage de saumons, c’est vraiment big business.
Nous rentrons dans un fjord et contournons Stokkøy par l’intérieur, il est
bientôt 13 h et nous cherchons une baie tranquille pour ancrer et déjeuner. Il
fait un temps splendide, 26 ˚ et beau soleil. Nous trouvons une baie, ancrons
et … nous baignons ! Qui l’eut cru il y deux ou trois jours. Nous
repartons après déjeuner et sortons en mer, nous voulons aller à Husøy et au
port de Tarva. Ce port est indiqué comme peu profond mais Maja ne fait qu’un
mètre quarante, ça devrait aller. Nous passons des éoliennes et de grands
bâtiments de Mowi, le plus grand producteur de saumons du monde … Nous arrivons
à Tarva à 18 h 30 sous le soleil. Nous avançons doucement et en plus c’est
marée basse, mais ça va. Au fond du port un ponton est pour les visiteurs. Deux
bateaux à moteur y sont déjà. Je demande à un des « capitaines » si c’est
assez profond pour nous (1,40 m) et il pense que oui, mais la place est trop
petite, alors il propose d’avancer son bateau pour nous faire de la place. Nous
nous amarrons, prenons notre ankerdram et partons tout de suit en promenade.
Tarva est bien cultivée et même maintenant il y a encore trois fermes actives
ici. La plus grande, je crois, a une grande et belle maison et nous voyons
plusieurs animaux : lapins, poules et oies, dindons, cochons, un chat et
bien sur des moutons. Je trouve rapidement mes deux fleurs, ce qui me réjouit.
Nous rentrons à 20 h, c’est l’heure où la marée est la plus basse, et tout va
bien, Maja flotte toujours. Diner dehors et, hourra, sans kjeledress.

Monday July 26, 2021. Værøy-Tarva
It was foggy last night, so we had turned on the anchor
light at the top of the mast as usual and in addition we had left the light in
the dog-house. We leave at 9:15 am with a little tail wind, engine and jib. When we anchor, the sailor that I am has nothing to do when we leave: no ropes and no fenders to put away. We
pass by a huge salmon farm, it's really big business. We enter a fjord and
bypass Stokkøy inland, it is almost 1 pm and we are looking for a quiet bay to
anchor and have lunch. The weather is splendid, 26 ˚ and beautiful sunshine. We
find a bay, anchor and… swim! Who would have believed it two or three days ago.
We leave after lunch and go out to sea, we want to go to Husøy and the port of
Tarva. This port is marked as shallow but Maja is only1,40 m deep, that should
be fine. We pass wind turbines and large buildings of Mowi, the largest
producer of salmon in the world… We arrive in Tarva at 6.30 pm under the sun.
We are moving slowly and on top of that it's low tide, but it's okay. At the
end of the port a pontoon is for visitors. Two motorboats are already there. I
ask one of the "captains" if it's deep enough for us (1.40m) and he
thinks so, but the space is too small, so he offers to move his boat forward to
make room for us. We moor, take our ankerdram and immediately go for a walk.
Tarva is well cultivated and even now there are still three active farms here.
The bigger one, I believe, has a big and beautiful house and we see several
animals: rabbits, chickens and geese, turkeys, pigs, a cat and of course sheep.
I quickly find my two flowers, which makes me happy. We get home at 8:00 p.m.,
it's the lowest tide time, and everything is fine, Maja is still floating. Dinner
outside and, hurray, without kjeledress.
