Il fait beau! On a du mal à y croire. Nous avons rendez-vous avec Solvor
pour monter sur « sa » montagne à midi. Il y a du mouvement sur le
ponton, des bateaux arrivent et partent,
les gens se parlent, s’aident, c’est sympathique. Nous avons le temps de faire
un tour en vélo avant midi, nous suivons la route qui longe la côte. C’est
vert, cultivé et Solvor nous dira plus tard qu’il n’y a plus d’élevage ici mais
que l’herbe, mise en balles, est livrée à une ile voisine où il y des bêtes.
Nous déjeunons tôt et allons en vélo chez elle. Helge, son mari, est parti dans
une autre montagne cueillir des « multer » (des murons arctiques), un
long tour de 6 h. Solvor et nous pédalons jusqu’au début du chemin qui monte
sur Storfjellet (qui veut dire La grande montagne), 240 m. Ce chemin a été
construit pendant la guerre par les Allemands qui voulaient avoir un poste d’observation
en haut, très bon chemin qui, en plus, est éclairé maintenant. Bonne promenade
sous le soleil, qui l’eut cru hier. Solvor sait plein de choses sur Lauvnes et
c’est intéressant de l’écouter. Le point de vue en haut est magnifique, sur le
village, les iles, les montagnes et un lac. Nous redescendons et remercions
Solvor de nous avoir accompagnés sur Storfjellet. Nous rentrons au bateau,
prenons un café et partageons un gâteau. Après notre stillestund, nous partons
pour aller ancrer dans une baie proche, c’est si calme que c’est l’occasion de
le faire. Soirée tranquille, diner dehors (et pas en kjeledress !), pas la
peine de mettre le chauffage, nous savourons le beau temps revenu.

The weather is nice! It's hard to believe. We have an
appointment with Solvor to climb “her” mountain at noon. There is movement on
the pontoon, boats come and go, people talk to each other, help each other,
it's nice. We have time for a bike ride before noon, we follow the road that
runs along the coast. It's green, cultivated and Solvor will tell us later that
there is no more breeding here but that the grass, baled, is delivered to a
nearby island where there are cows. We have an early lunch and cycle to her
place. Helge, her husband, went to another mountain to pick "multer"
(cloudberries), a long 6 hour tour. Solvor and we ride to the beginning of the
path that goes up to Storfjellet (which means The big mountain), 240 m. This
path was built during the war by the Germans who wanted to have an observation
post at the top, a very good path which, in addition, is now illuminated. We have
a good walk in the sun, who would have believed it yesterday. Solvor knows a
lot about Lauvnes and it is interesting to listen to her. The view from the top
is magnificent, over the village, the islands, the mountains and a lake. We go down
and thank Solvor for having accompanied us to Storfjellet. We return to the
boat, have a coffee and share a cake. After our stillestund, we leave to anchor
in a nearby bay, it's so calm this is a day to do so. Quiet evening, dinner
outside (and not in a kjeledress!), no need to turn on the heat in the evening,
we are enjoying the warm weather.
