Long petit-déjeuner dedans puis partons à 9 h 50 pour Ålesund où nous
arrivons à 11 h. La marina en ville est bien pleine mais nous trouvons une
place quand même. Nous nous promenons, Ålesund est une jolie ville, et allons
prendre un café et un éclair. Je suis ravie de trouver une fleur sauvage jaune
dans un caniveau, en ville. Nous repartons à 13 h, grignotons un mini-lunch et
suivons des fjords. Au début c’est agréable mais ensuite le vent devient irrégulier, passant de 3 m/s à 10m/s et même
irrégulier en direction. Je suis en bas à faire le blog et dois parfois me
cramponner quand Maja gite, et avec seulement le foc. Nous le roulons et
continuons au moteur. Nous avons la chance de voir des marsouins mais ils sont
difficiles à prendre en photo, puis un bel arc-en ciel devant une montagne.
Nous arrivons à Kvamsøy, un grand port sur une ile qui est le dernier arrêt
avant Statt. Un long ponton pour les visiteurs est vide, nous amarrons Maja et
allons faire un tour, il est 19 h. Un monsieur qui promène son chien dit que
Maja est un beau bateau, on ne peut pas trouver meilleure introduction. Il est
né et vit ici. Il nous raconte que quand il était jeune (il doit avoir une
soixantaine d’années) 500 personnes vivaient ici et maintenant ils sont seulement
250 et pourtant une usine de plastique et grandes pièces en laine de verre (cuves,
énormes tuyaux …) emploie 70 travailleurs. Nous dinons des restes d’hier et,
comme par hasard, le gars qui a des problèmes avec Hera II en Grèce téléphone à
Jens juste au moment de faire la vaisselle …

Long breakfast inside then we leave at 9.50 am for
Ålesund where we arrive at 11 am. The marina in town is full but we find a
place anyway. We take a walk, Ålesund is a lovely town, and go for a coffee and
an éclair. I am delighted to find a yellow wild flower in a gutter in town. We
leave at 1 p.m., nibble on a mini-lunch and follow the fjords. At first it's
nice but then the wind gets irregular, going from 3 m/s to 10 m/s and even
irregular in direction. I'm down doing the blog and sometimes I have to hang on
when Maja is heeling, and with only the jib. We roll it and continue with the
engine. We are lucky to see porpoises but they are difficult to take in picture,
then a beautiful rainbow in front of a mountain. We arrive at Kvamsøy, a large
port on an island which is the last stop before Statt. A long pontoon for
visitors is empty, we moor Maja and go for a walk, it is 7 p.m. A man walking
his dog says Maja is a beautiful boat, you couldn't find a better introduction.
He was born and lives here. He tells us that when he was young (he must be in
his sixties) 500 people lived on Kvamsøy and now there are only 250 and yet a
plastic factory and large glass wool parts (tanks, huge pipes ...) employs 70
workers. We’re eating leftovers from yesterday and, as luck would have it, the
guy who is having trouble with Hera II in Greece phones Jens just when it’s
time to wash the dishes…
